Bedat & Co. was aquired by Gucci Group about eight years ago by former CEO Domenico De Sole and creative director Tom Ford. Unlike the group's other acquisitions, such as Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen, Bedat never took off as Gucci Group had hoped.
Gucci Group is the world's second multi-brand luxury goods company. The group also controls Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Boucheron, and Sergio Rossi.
