Boot the Booth

Today, Fashionista.com quoted Booth Moore from the L.A. Times describing her position against Gucci.

She stated, “Besides, clubwear is the kind of thing you want to be disposable so you can dance, drink, and leave it in a ball on your bedroom floor at the end of the night. Which means you might as well buy Bebe.”

Well, I’m sorry Booth, but District L will have to respectfully disagree. This “Why try?” attitude has been plaguing American culture, namely the fashion industry, for the greater part of this millennium. Maybe if you’re a club troll, crawling the sticky floors of Pacha, polyester Bebe clothing would be your best bet. But as a fashion writer, Booth should be aspiring to trendier, more interesting nightlife experiences.
