Dior Couture stomped down the runway in sassy colors in silhouettes that were simultaneously voluminous and risque. While the collection reminded many of the ever-ominous 80's revival, I could not ignore its similarities to the famous 1940's burlesque dancer, Gypsy Rose Lee.
The resemblence matches up, as both concepts maintain an air of excess and a play-hard attitude:
And if you're real good,
I'll make you feel good.
I want your spirit to climb.
So let me entertain you,
And we'll have a real good time!
Yes Sir!
We'll have a real good time!
