From this point on, the phrase "due to tough economic times" will now be replaced with DTTET. We're sick of seeing, saying and hearing it, but unfortunately this phrase is not going away. So what's the next best thing? Acronyms.
WWD reported yesterday that DTTET, gift cards are losing their "cachet" as customers are focusing on basics. So, if you happen to have any gift cards for Saks, Bloomies, or Neiman's, District L will be happy to take those off your hands.
Yesterday, WWD also reported that DTTET, celebrity clothing lines were "losing their luster." That's too bad. What's going to happen to Daisy Fuentes and Lauren Conrad when middle-aged women stop buying their clothing at Kohl's??
Lastly, DTTET, WWD asks us, "Do dresses with six-figure price tags have a place in fashion magazines at a time of economic crisis?"
You know we're in trouble when a daily fashion publication asks us if couture has a place in FASHION magazines. Oh, dear Karl.
