My once-favorite street fashion blog has gone blah. Street Peeper, which used to snap photos of cutting-edge chicsters, continues to photograph the run-of-the-mill grungy wannabe hipster-types. We get it, Peeps, but its over.
After this and this and this, its safe to say that just dressing "ironically" and not washing your hair is no longer considered fashionable or edgy. Don't get me wrong - the hipster principles will never die in New York, (ie. dressing in outrageous outfits, partying for 12 days straight, unexplainable eccentricities, etc.) yet this old strain of hipsterism is done:
